The quest for glory begins

As the minefield of Q school begins at Robin’s park leisure centre today, Over 200 player’s have that dream of mixing it with the elite of our game and it was wonderful to see some old faces that we hadn’t seen in many year’s.
The likes off the very popular Lee Richardson was one in particular that we were very happy to see but unfortunately he wasn’t wearing one of his trademark colourful shirts but im sure before the week is out it’ll make an appearance.
In his day Richardson was a fine player and its so refreshing to see some of these guy’s from yesteryear having another crack at stardom and we wish lee all the very best as he kicks off his campaign on Monday morning.
It was a mixed day for some of the favourites as Fang Xiongman and Zang Yong both fell at the first hurdle but wins for Andrew Pagett and Aditya Mehta on thier competitive returns was pleasing to see.
Ladies World champion Reanne Evans also fell at the first hurdle but Ng On Yee is still flying the flag for the ladies with a positive 4-1 victory in her first match.

Snookerfans.co.uk sponsored player Sean Maddocks started his campaign in positive fashion with a 4-1 victory over India’s Hrithik Jain. Hear what Sean had to say to Snookerfans.co.uk reporter Curtis Braithwaite after the match.
